Who is this course for?

This course is designed for people who routinely manage high-stakes decisions effectively, but never received formal training to deal with the personal toll of being immersed in that world: dealing with surgical complications, difficult team dynamics, and repeated exposure to illness, injury, and death.

Evidence suggests mindfulness training in high-stress professions can reduce burnout and psychological distress while supporting executive function and performance in complex environments. The aim here is practical: greater cognitive clarity, emotional steadiness, and flexibility in the face of challenge.

About the Course:

A four-week experiential class, live on Zoom, that will provide practical tools to manage some of the most challenging parts of working in healthcare.

Each week will teach specific practices to help:

Week 1: 8/11/26

Develop mindfulness to help you to become aware of internal signs of stress faster.

Week 2: 8/21/26

Develop skills to recognize and release yourself from automatic reactions.

Week 3: 8/28/26

Skillfully face difficult emotions, like anger and self-judgement, that arise with complications and difficult interactions.

Week 4: 9/11/26

Combat burnout and remain engaged when facing ongoing suffering in your work and the world.
